ONE WEEK LEFT TO SEE WHAT THE ARTIST AND THE PHOTOGRAPHER HAVE BEEN GETTING UP TO!

Flight contrastOne week left to see the ‘Artist and the Photographer’ exhibition at the Queen’s Theatre.

The Theatre in Billet Lane, has been hosting a four week exhibition of work by Zoe Clements and Barry Kirk where impressions really count.

The exhibition closes Saturday March 29 on the selection of paintings and pixels will be in the Bar Exhibition area, as well as unique examples where the artists combine sZoe Clements wkills to create photo/art pieces of work. (below)

The bridge between camera and brush has fascinated both and engineered a will to see how the arts could be combined.

wall webWith Zoe’s ( right) realistic and enchanted way of expressing her innermost feelings on canvas, and Barry’s four decades as a professional photographer experiencing the whole spectrum of photography, the duo are showing their individual talents as well embarking on this voyage of discovery combining their skills creating a single canvas .Barry Kirk  - Copy

Zoe Clements, mother and self taught artist says it is her open mind that found a route to expression through painting.

Using Acrylic paints her creations are eye-catching, bright  and magnets for the mind.

finished fish webBarry Kirk, (above) freelance photo-journalist and retired editor of an east London  weekly newspaper, is looking at different ways of using the gift of digital photography to express the beauty of colour and shape.

It has been an experience for both artists, and they hope visitors enjoy the journey through their work, all of which is for sale.

Estuary wfirst painting wThe exhibition is in the Bar area from Monday February 24 until Saturday March 29, with free entrance during the daily and evening opening hours of the Queen’s Theatre, which are six days, Monday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm.
